I apologize for the bad joke. It just goes to prove that they all cannot be winners...

By the way,
doc, I felt it was befitting to acknowledge and honor you, a FlyerTalk legend, with
a special post in a thread that may one day also be a FlyerTalk legend, if it is not one already...

Thanks very much Canarsie!
Actually, FWIW, I thought your joke was quite superb!
And I get/got it thanks!
It seems I was unclear, however, as my comment above concerning my seemingly poor sense of humor actually related to the prior post:

In retrospect, I should have taken more care to separate these two distinct thoughts, one concerning the proper French translation, and the second earlier comment, concerning the apparent joke that I'd missed - and still do, sadly!
I'd made a factual statement and was kinda' baffled by the posters response. So I asked, "Really? I didn't think so. Perhaps I don't understand? How so?..."
Again, while I'd always thought and been told that I had a good sense of humor, perhaps I should be the one apologizing for my poor sense of humor?
Maybe I take/took Flyertalk too seriously? Am I missing something here? Thanks!
