Hm, what do you mean? I don't think it's the date specifically, since when I switch from YQF-YYC-FRA-OSL on Aug 31 vs Sept 1 (no layovers >a few hours), it's the same price...

Although, now that you mention it, I see this in the fare rules from Matrix:

OUTBOUND -
PERMITTED SUN THROUGH WED ON EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
INBOUND -
PERMITTED TUE THROUGH FRI ON EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
And when I switch to Aug 30 instead of 31, I seem to be able to force an overnight in FRA for ~$1400, so I guess that solves that, though I'm still not completely convinced, since the TATL on Aug 31 would still satisfy that requirement... Oh well, thanks!
