Overnight layover pushes TATL price up?

I'm still trying to find my way home from school for the summer, so I'm looking at RT flights from Europe - YEG/YYC/YQF. I've zeroed in on an all-Y itinerary for ~$1400:
July 11: OSL-LHR (overnight) - YYC-YQF
Aug 31: YQF-YYC-FRA-OSL

I'd like to spend as much time in FRA as I can, but for some reason, a 2h connection is ~$200 cheaper than a 23h connection. Does anyone know why lengthening the layover bumps up the price? I thought 23h59 was the limit before a layover turned into a stopover.. To answer my own question, is it married segment pricing?

Also, if anyone can find any cheaper ways to get from Europe to YEG or YQF/YYC via London/Paris (with a long enough layover to pick up bags) after July 7 (I'll be in FRA, but I'll probably have to travel) with the TATL on AC and back to Europe via Germany before September 2 with at least the first segment on AC, I'll bring you a bottle of good red wine . I can barely find anything below $1600...

(the point of the TATL being on AC via LHR/CDG is so that I can bring my 3 bags home; the first segment being on AC lets me bring them all to Germany)
