Hi all-

I'm trying to understand how DL awards miles with KLM, AF, & Alitalia (particularly the "marketed flights" language). I am booking a trip in August and my options to book are:

1) DTW-AMS (Class T)/AMS-SPU (Class L)- both are marketed as KLM
Return: TGD-CDG (class W)/CDG-DTW (Class A) both flights marketed as AF
booking via: KLM Website

2) Same flights to SPU but marketed as DL & class U
Return- same as in #1
booking via: Orbitz

3&4) Same DL/KLM options to SPU but return is marketed as Alitalia TGD-FCO/FCO-DTW class T.
booking via: Orbitz (about $50 less than options #1 and #2 )

Which would result in more MQMs/MQDs?

context: I was Delta Gold but lost status this year as I was on a 9 month consulting project where I had to fly AA each week. Moving to a DL hub and would like to build status quickly for this year. Thinking about building it via Flying Blue because it's easier to reach Silver/Elite status. In that case, should I not book the Alitalia flights since they no longer have a partnership with KLM/AF? I am not sure if the cancelled partnership affects the ability to earn Flying Blue miles if you travel on Alitalia.

Sidenote- Is it weird that all of these options come up about $2k more expensive on the Delta site? Also, they're not all listed as available flight options, even though they're all part of SkyTeam. I can see them only on Orbitz/CheapTickets...and option #1 shows on KLM/AF sites.

Thank you all for the help!
