I will be landing n PVG from Japan on July 22th at 00:40 and will exit to Turkey on July 28th at 22:35.

which make my stay 144+22 hrs.

In many sites I read: "the 144-hour free stay period counts from 00:00 of the day following passengers' arrival [...] If one arrives at 6:00am on July 1, the layover time counts from 00:00 of July 2 and the passenger should have a ticket with the scheduled departure time before 23:59 of July 7."

According to this description I should be safe.

But I wonder: is 00:40 the same as 06:00? Those arriving at 06:00 will stay 7 days and 6 nights. Arriving at 00:40 makes it 7 days and 7 nights.
What if it has to do with the shifts hours of the immigration officers?

does anyone have experience of doing 144+?
