That is obvious, because you are posting here.

OP signed up so s/he could lambast Citi and then stopped signing in.

Never getting a call does not mean it does not happen.
Also - it is not mandatory to provide an email address for the application.
The keyword is "normally". OP's situation, I believe, can be classified as "atypical".
Yes. This has been confirmed by OP (as OP claimed who said that was apparently blowing smoke).
It is possible. But it does not mean what was claimed by OP re: Citi's imcompetence is not valid.
There is no guarantee that Citi (and/or other issuers) may extend the window.
Yeah, lots of things are
possible. But how many out-of-the-ordinary things can happen to one individual before it starts to become more likely that the person is making things up and exaggerating to make it sound worse than it actually was? The purpose of OP's post was not to inform it was to hurt Citi for their horrible customer service by getting others to stop using them. When that is the goal, one should be skeptical of the details.

And that is relevant to what? You've successfully gotten more than a half dozen Barclays waived-fee cards in the last 7 months for 60-75K bonus plus spend each?
