The writing is on the wall. AA says, essentially, "coming soon...." -- and are you saying that DL will allow you to upgrade Y->J on a plane that has a PE cabin? Why would anyone upgrade Y->PE then? (Not arguing -- genuinely curious).
Regardless, if they're offering upgrades into PE, it seems inevitable to me that they will eventually stop offering Y->J upgrades and start limiting them to PE->J. Perhaps I'm just a pessimist. :-)
