I'm also having the same answer; that lap child are not eligible for the kid's BTC option. And the closest we can choose is the Child Meal for Infant. My kid <2 is able to munch on normal food (pasta, rice, steak, etc) and the last thing I would want is some infant food jar from Heinz

In all fairness, we tried asking for a sample menu and to ask for their meaning of a "more substantial meal" than post-weaning meal, but non of the call agents can give any reasonable answer.

Does any FT seniors have any experience or recent pics with regards to Child Meal for Infant in J?

With this info, i could plan ahead in advance and would explore the option to have a heavier meal for my kid in the lounge, if this infant meal isn't substantial.

Thanks in advance!
There are 3 options for infant meal.

Baby food is Heinz jar food.

Postweaning meal is pureed food with some texture.

Child meal for infant is what it says, a child meal (with all the junk, including snacks, chocolate etc), but for infants.

SQ actually does very well here in offering options for an infant meal (on an infant ticket) instead of assuming that a 6-7mo eats the same stuff as a 22mo.

Btw, an infant meal in J is exactly the same as infant meal inf Y. Nothing special in J for the infants, except that they might plate it onto nice chinaware (if you get a good set of crew).
