In any event, as the OP, from memory the meal provided on board was age appropriate and was certainly adequate, despite being an infant meal.
I took my 22mo in business class last year and requested for child meal for infant for both legs. The child meal for infant is almost, if not the same as a child meal, as I took my LO after he turned 2 and requested for child meal and it was pretty much the same thing.
So the call centre was right in offering the child meal for infant, though they definitely should have explained that the child meal for infant is pretty much the same thing.
