At a hotel I frequent quite often I was once startled awake to water pouring into my bathroom from the room above and was compensated 10k points for the inconvenience of changing rooms in the middle of the night. Didn't ask for the points, but was more than happy with the goodwill gesture.
That being said, I guess I wouldn't expect more than 10k in points compensation for the trouble. On the other hand I'd be more concerned about water damage to the iPad and being compensated should it eventually fail. Water/liquid damage is a tricky thing when it comes to electronics. You could see problems day one or things start flaking out over a course of weeks/months. I know if I were you, regardless of it working now, I'd want the iPad replaced for fear of water shortening the lifespan of the device.
