MSC rules aren't about distance, they are about which flight crosses an IATA area boundary. In your case the first flight to do so is the HKG-LHR flight, so the baggage allowance for that flight applies to the whole journey.
Your e-ticket should also specify your baggage allowance - what does it say?
Thanks for pointing that about about the eticket, hadn't thought to look there. Both legs say 30K in tiny letters
