RAK is shorthaul, and there won't be too many status or business travellers on that route. You have done the right thing by booking under one PNR and so long as the flight doesn't get very busy you will probably end up with a half row to yourselves. TS doesn't make any judgement calls as to whether you are a family or not, it treats everyone the same unless there is a child involved.
