Street food, pork sitting in 110 degree heat for 5 hours before being cooked, stuff she didn't know what it was, meat covered in flies, curry flavored corn flakes, medium-rare chicken......the works.
She didn't get sick once. Seriously. She basically developed a cast-iron stomach that no food borne illness could touch. Here I am subsisting on bottled drinks and the occasional raw vegetable and I was on the toilet for the first 15 days of the trip.
Last I heard of her (2005), was she was in a Swiss prison/mental health place for her own protection.
My point is.........some guys never wash their hands after the toilets, eat anything and use zero manners. All it does is further freak out germaphobes.

Please don't go RCHHMP on me as I like you here!
Just because something is a certain way doesn't mean that it has to be that way.
This is about common courtesy and not about low standards of living on the third world.
If we keep on comparing to third world problems, then there is almost no point in about 95% of the threads here.
(One might also wonder why this SE 2MM is posting about this now rather than 15 years ago when I started traveling like a fiend).
