I'm getting sick and tired of seeing the tongs and ladles left soaking in the salad or pizza or mac and cheese. I see this every day in the MLLs (for some of you hear, you think this is hyperbole or exaggeration, but many of you know this as the truth).

I just made a complaint to the manager here at the YYZ Dom MLL, and she advised that they are not allowed to put signs with a tactfully message reminding customers to put the ladles and tongs back into their cradles. I was advised that their staff try their best to put the tongs and ladles back into their cradles. I also told the manger that I know customer behaviour is out of their control, and asked if there was anything they could do to minimize this occurrence.

I got the feeling she was trying to brush me off, so I will make the complaint again and fill out the web form. Just to be clear, she told me that AC won't allow them to put tactful signage up. You know, like the tactful message in aircraft lavatories suggesting that the patron wipe the countertop for the next passenger as a courtesy.

Something needs to be done to MINIMIZE people dumping the ladles and tongs back into the food once it's done.

Yes, there are germs everywhere, but the whole point is MINIMIZING contamination.

Don't get me started with those who lick their fingers, pick their nose, or sneeze into each their hands before going get for another set of tongs or a ladle.

If you're going to do these actions, please go wash your hands or refrain from touching any food apparatus or food in general until doing so.
