Hi All, tried a quick search, but couldn't find anything definitive.
I am organising travel and one of the flyers has just informed me that she does not need her return ticket (as she will be making her own plans for onward travel).
No stress, the original ticket was fully refundable.
Issue,
The TA has quoted me ±GBP300 more (in Premium economy) for just the one-way (Johannesburg - Manchester via LHR) compared to the original open jaw round trip (Johannesburg - Manchester via LHR and return LHR - Johannesburg).
So two questions, one academic and one practical.
- What causes the significantly higher one way ticket, when compared to a return?
- What would happen if she just skipped the return leg?
Cheers,
R
