Saigon has obviously changed significantly (and I'll never call it by its other name) for me and only the older residents recall the names of the streets, especially ToDo, as we knew the main drag back in the day.

First time I returned, nearly 40 years after the "police action" ended what surprised me were the revetments still on and around Ton Sun Nuht Airport.
And in visiting Hanoi no one was trying to kill me although the hotel staff told me about their fathers who likely were years before, but without any anymocity.

If you don't mind my asking, how much has the country changed since the war? Obviously cities can change quite a bit with the passage of time and all the development, but in terms of smaller towns and villages?
