OK, I feel almost silly posting this but I did promise a follow-up.

I tried checking in with a different computer. It worked. The seat I was assigned is a Window- my favorite. Not only that- I'm TSA Pre-Check. The bad news: the reason I couldn't check in earlier is that I got dumped onto a MUCH later flight. UA still shows me as being on an AC flight leaving at 10:35 AM. AC's pass shows me on a different flight number, departing at 4:25 PM. When I check on the flight status of my original flight number it says it doesn't exist. Which means I'm going to miss a reception for which I paid $80, nonrefundable. *&^%#! I guess airline alliances still aren't seamless, huh? I'm pretty good at noticing e-mails with schedule changes and I swear I never got one.


Oh, well. Thanks for working through this with me. Without being confirmed as checked in I probably would have set the alarm for some insane hour to get to the airport crazy early.
