I'm heading to Hanoi in the second half of June for three or four nights. I have Hilton Gold status. I can do an advance purchase and get a room at this property for $85 a night. The HGI I can get for $54 a night. So a $31 difference. I'm not a fan of paying money on hotel stays when I can avoid it but I have been told the marriott where I have free nights for is not a good location and there does not seem to be a Hyatt built in Hanoi yet. At these prices should I just go for the Hilton Hanoi Opera? Based on past posts it seems golds have a decent chance of being upgraded to exec? I don't smoke so don't need a smoking room.
