Hilton Austin about a year ago -- checked in at about 11 pm and told the hot water was going off at 11 pm because of a plumbing problem. In fact, no water at all in the shower although there was cold water in the sink.
Mentioned it the next morning to the agent and got a "service recovery bonus" of 50,000 points, what a one night stay on points would have cost me.
