All my VT flights have been Airpasses booked through a Travel Agent and he generally asks me for my Int'l flight info, so I've never actually had to call VT from overseas. I assume you can e-mail, but there is also a Tahiti phone number. Just be aware of the phone charges in case you do decide to call.

You can ask TN when you call them how to deal with VT. While it's not the same airline, they should know what would work best.
