Very nice!
We once had 2 very minor issues at a Doubletree, including one we didn't even notice until we were checking out. The 3 night stay was paid for entirely with points. As I brought our luggage to the car, my wife went down to the front desk and told them, in a joking, upbeat manner, about those little issues. The front desk clerk felt so bad. We were given points IN EXCESS of what we used for the entire stay!
I'm usually hesitant to tell that story, based on what others have to go thru just to get a few thousand points. But then again, we weren't angry, we didn't threaten anything...my wife simply smiled and joked with the front desk.
Amazing what you can get sometimes that way!
