I currently travel with a 21" inch suitcase, which is up to European specs. However, it's time to replace it and I've been looking at a suitcase that is slightly bigger at 22.75", which they describe as US specs.

My question: Flying with AC and various Star Alliance partners, am I likely to run into issues? What has your experience been?

(I'm currently Altitude 50K and typically fly business or premium economy internationally, and economy within North America.)
I'm assuming it won't fit in the sizer? AC lists 21.5", if it's larger you may be unlucky. That's the short answer.

Every n months AC threatens to clamp down on it, personally I've only had an issue once (DL said zone 5 = checked rollers and ignored size).

On intl PY+ I don't foresee an issue. Especially Intl J if it goes thru security they'll get it onto the plane.

So if it physically fits it should be fine. Even on Dom J/F I've never had an issue, in Y I wouldn't bank on it though I'm assuming you are Zone 2 and *G so that likely helps massively.

All that said, there are threads in here of people who fly far more often and come across someone determined to enforce it. Even in J.
