I received informal confirmation that they (KL @ SPL) will do that if you give them a call and stay out of the queue. It is easier for them to guide you through from out of the queue than pick you out of it (let alone that they need to know how you look like).

I have never used/needed it due to Privium, VIP terminal (KL/AF flights from AMS connectiong via CDG are handled via VIP terminal) or pure luck.
