Of course the pilot has the final say in these matters and we likely don't have all parts of the story.

Just odd, if the Flightaware track is accurate, that a direct shot from MCO and one lap in a hold in good weather, would result in a fuel emergency? Seems to have averaged 500kts so don't think headwinds are to blame.

Will be interesting to get the final say.
