If you click through the fullsize rate to the screen right before you submit the reservation, you'll find it's the same as the mid size price. Only real benefit to reserving a full size is if you get there and there's low inventory.

Answer is: the green bar highlighting "click here for emerald aisle" is priced a few dollars higher because it defaults to a full-size. It still charges you for a mid-size at checkout.
Turns out out it's just National trying to do Executives a solid by reserving a class higher just in case the aisle is empty.
