I've spent YEARS traveling the US for free using credit card sign on bonuses to book flights and hotels, but the family is taking a trip in March 2018 to New Zealand, and I'm pretty green when it comes to international travels. I'm an economy flyer, and price is the most important factor. With that being said, has anyone done this type of a flight from the United States (DFW area most likely) to either Auckland or Wellington, NZ? It looks like retail going rates are about $1,800 per person without points. Anything helps! Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide their input. Hopefully some personal experiences can be shared as well.
