You are much better off flying into SJO airport in San Jose and staying at the Los Suenos Marriott and the West Central area of Costa Rica in general. There is a lot more to see and do in the Los Suenos, Jaco and Hermosa area than any other part of the country, and tours, excursions and activities are very close by.
