This is a bit of a tongue in cheek question, but are there any alternatives at LHR T5 to swerve any potential huge passport control queue. I am travelling with my wife and 3y old, so we cant use the e-gates. We have a 4.5hr layover before our next flight and wanted to take a trip into London. But if we have to queue for 30 minutes plus, im not so interested. I had visions of showing my next boarding pass, going up the stairs to bag security screening, and leaving via the fast track entrance. Of course, all a bit tongue in cheek but how easy is it to leave once you have gone through bag screening again for example. Thanks
