Does anyone have any experience of picking up a hire car booked through a flight + car package the day after the flight arrives? Our plan is to arrive in Madrid at 10pm and frankly we'd rather just book an airport hotel and pick the car up the following morning than hire it in the evening.

It is much cheaper to have the car for the whole time, rather than book it for one day fewer.

Is this possible, or will they cancel the whole booking if we no-show?
