Marriott/Starwood any day along with their CC which is an instant Gold status. With Marriott you also get access to Starwoods but with the same membership. Don't focus your future reservations with Hyatt. Been a Hyatt memeber since 2014 and the difference between Marriott/Starwood and Hyatt is huge when it comes to how customer friendly the company is and I don't like the direction Hyatt is approaching with their new program since march this year. Hyatt's Brg program is not customer friendly as well with annoying terms.

My money is almost always spent on Marriott/Starwood. If there are no Marriott/Starwood in the area I go for Hyatt if the reviews are alright.
The problem I have with Hyatt is also not really the hotels and the staff in the hotels but how Hyatt as a company is acting from their HQ. Their hotels are usually very good and the staff are great. It's a real shame.
