Considered itineraries for UA:
PEK -> SFO -> ORD -> YYZ (last segment on AC) where it was 37.5k + $70
But...
- TD Visa perks for Air Canada
- dropping bags off at home in Edmonton
- having lunch with a friend I rarely see in YVR
- seeing family in Edmonton and sleeping in my own bed for a few hours
- avoiding bringing in restricted articles that US CBP could question (that historically CBSA was okay with)
