I'm usually a huge fan of taking advantage of points values but in this case it's just not worth it IMHO.
Having been caught in more than one jam on the causeway, and even with eIACS to smooth immigration on the Singapore side, there is too much unpredictability in the extra effort required to make it worthwhile.
