I grew up in Salem, but now live in Bend. In the 80's there was commercial service, and I remember flying SLE-SFO on... PSA. (Remember the smile?) It was a 737 but no jetway, just steps. After they stopped commercial service we would ride the HUT shuttle from there to PDX.

The terminal was like a bus station. The RDM terminal is bigger with more services.
