Nevertheless, my questions regarding the OP are (1) were passengers allowed to disembark; and if so, (2) was there a lounge available; and if so, (3) was there a sign out restricting access to PP members due to overcrowding?

Lol....I think the whole "no PP" sign fiasco got way more airplay (via emails, social media, etc.) than AS ever imagined (or hoped) it would. So what would have happened if they would have just let passengers decide whether it was too crowded? If there were nowhere to sit, I would not start sitting on the floor....I'd probably grab a quick Starbucks to go and leave. With that said, I've visited AS Lounges multiple times throughout their relatively small network during various days and times and I can't remember even one time where there was not a single seat left and I had to leave.
