I don't have the rates in hand, but it was something like €130 for Saturday night, €150 for Sunday night at the time of booking, which became €140 each after the AMB upgrade.
I might have gone through the trouble of arguing about the rate (something I dislike doing) if there was a compelling reason to stay there, but there were plenty of options on a non-convention winter weekend in the area.
BTW, I have been AMB since 2004 and this is the only IC which tried to pull this trick on a BOGO rate. My usual IC's in Japan where the differential between Friday and Saturday nights is much larger always behaved according to the spirit of the T&C. I doubt a large established IC in a country as meticulous as Germany did this unintentionally.
An interesting aside is my even considering the use of a BOGO for such cheap nights. It used to be much more valuable in the past.
