I have accessed the QF F Lounge before on a domestic transcontinental flight while flying in F. Status will not help you if you're flying in Y on a transcon and want to use oneworld lounges, but a ticket in J or F will permit you to use the OW J or F lounges, respectively.
I got into the QF lounge three weeks ago while still in Y on LAX/JFK waiting for the upgrade. Cleared while I was in the lounge. Was this incorrect?
