WT Seating Thoughts

hey,

I just flew on an A380 today and thought it might be worth sharing some thoughts about the upper deck for economy / WT

- window seats are nice with the extra storage. I noticed that 75K had an aligned window and storage box, fwiw. I rarely sit in window seats as I don't want to bother anyone to stand up, but I am tempted to sit in a window seat in the upper deck next time.

- I sat in an aisle in the middle 4 seats (74G), contrary to reports here there is a small IFE box, although not as obtrusive as the ones in the window seats. i found that i could spread my knees quite wide also without impeding into the middle seat person's leg/knee area.

- legroom wasn't great but also not completely terrible like some other carriers. of course exit row seats would be ideal but they were soldout for this particular flight. think the forward exit row seats looked better than the ones in the mini cabin. although you do have bathroom traffic and a flight attendant sat across from you for take off and landing.

- it seemed as if the legroom on the window seats was slightly better than the aisle seats in the middle, not sure if that's actually true or not but could be

- bulkheads had good room but being a tall person I rarely sit there as you can't stretch your legs out fully

- despite occasional turbulence i found the a380 to be quite smooth compared to other planes

- board early - only the middle overhead bins are large enough for carry on suitcases, the side overhead bins only large enough for backpacks / shoulder bags.

anyways, stray thoughts for us cattle class...hope this might be helpful!
