Question Flying BA: Credit to AA or BA ?

hi

my wife and me are booked to fly on BA to india in the summer. i will have abt 30 K miles in my AA acct (after the mastercard), and my wife none. have a old BA account still active, no miles. The booking is in fare class M. The trip is abt 15,000 miles, including return.

The airport i use is EWR, so unlikely i will fly AA much. don't fly that much anyway.

question: does it make sense to credit the miles into AA accounts, or into one BA family account ? does M class on BA would give 100% miles on both BA and AA ?

related question: if we were to do the gold/plat challenge, M on Bas would give 0.5 Q points or 1.0 ?

Sorry, this is a slightly technical question, but help would be much appreciated!!!

ps: am silver elite on NW, but NW/KLM fares are too high!
