Is Hertz a level of scamminess worse than Alamo/National/Enterprise? (That seems hard to believe.) I recently drove all over Tampa and Miami in an Alamo car and was surprised to only get hit with $17 in toll charges.
Based on what signs I could remember, I felt like I'd driven on $10-12 worth of actual toll roads, so I was kind of expecting a higher charge on my credit card bill.

Hertz charges $4.95 per rental day plus tolls for the whole rental.
Alamo charges $3.95 per day tolls are actually incurred. If you only drive a toll road one day on a 30-day rental, you will only pay $3.95.
