I booked two sub-$550 airfares out of Chicago Midway the other day: (1) MDW-DTW-NRT-MNL/MNL-NRT-PDX-MSP-MDW and (2) MDW-DTW-NRT-SIN/SIN-NRT-DTW-MDW.
I'm waitlisted with my global upgrade. Delta would have cleared my global had I went to Singapore through Atlanta and Seoul. It would have also netted me about 400 more MQMS, but I didn't want to sit in Korean Air economy-class for Seoul-Singapore.
For Singapore, I'm netting something like 20,480 MQMs as a diamond.
By the way, I just saw some sub-$600 OAK-SLC-SEA-ICN-SIN/SIN-NRT-SEA-SLC-OAK airfares for November on Google Flights.
