regarding the bidding less piece you can only bid once so make it a good bid. IF seats are available I would wait. I think the lowest you can bid on any segment is $75. For a segment that long I would be bidding at least $149 a person but I've never bid with AeroMexico before. Have you tried searching their prices in PESOS vs. CAD or USD?

For a F flight I needed from CUN-MEX (2day stopover on same ticket)- PVR it was $248 converted in MXN otherwise it would've been $313 USD. So that's a pretty significant difference.
