I have a Chase Sapphire Reserve.
If I book an airplane ticket for my authorized user, are they covered by the trip insurance (for delay or cancellation, baggage delay, etc.)?
Benefits Guide
Who is covered? You, the Primary Insured Person, and your Immediate Family Members are automatically covered. Immediate Family Member means your Spouse or Domestic Partner and their children, including adopted children or step-children; legal guardians or wards; siblings or siblings-in-law; parents or parents-in-law; grandparents or grandchildren; aunts or uncles; nieces or nephews.
Are you saying you purchased the ticket but it's an authorized user flying? In that situation, unless the AU is one of the people above I'd say no, they aren't covered. The AU should make the purchase, not you.
