Well, F pax can try. Even at 28-days out (the earliest in advance you can book) there tends to be zero slots without four-five hours of departure...
Second time I've tried as an F passenger and been told to hope for one of the walk-in open spots.
My experience is that it is getting harder and harder to get a slot, either pre-book as F or walk up. 5B tends to have better availability (+the view is nicer from the chair).
If you ask they have some "turn away" gifts for when they don't have slots.
