Yup, that's my read too. I'm a current Explorer, at 25 nights so far this year, will only be able to get to 45 or so, and figuring it isn't really worth pushing to stay at hyatts. This challenge would work for me, as I could time my 90 days to get to almost 20 naturally and then add a couple of random extra nights. For someone in my position, this is actually good marketing, bc it will induce a few extra nights out me this year and keep me tied to Hyatt for at least one more year. And I'm currently at least something of a "real" customer and not a total fake status vulture (although not sure they'd agree). Too bad I work for the govt and won't be eligible.
