Yes, but ANC is on the way to BRW.

You can visit both ANC and Barrow (or ANC and Kotzebue), by skipping Juneau and, for example, cashing in 20,000 miles for a PDX-BRW ticket with a stopover in ANC. You only get one stopover per award, but in the past it hasn't mattered that the "stopover" in ANC has been far longer than a visit to BRW (or Nome or Kotzebue).

If you're curious to see Barrow, don't worry about upgrading between ANC and BRW as the route is served by combi aircraft without a first class section.
