I actually think they could make it an auto swipe door for entry using BPs (as already used in some other lounges).
This would avoid the need for constant staffing but retain the convenience for transfer pax - perhaps with a call bell for when computer says no.
By the way I'm not sure the thread title should just be about the entrance, as OP mentioned another enhancement - no more ticketing assistance in CCR. Is that really so? If so that would be a major enhancement and very unwelcome. Even basic Admirals Clubs agents can do that kind of thing for you - it would be very poor service for BA's most premium pax if they had to leave the lounge as OP suggests.
