Made the mistake of trying to use T5 north security when connecting recently -- the fast track was just completely closed and we had a long wait. Absurd that they respond to quieter periods by closing most of the belts so that even though it's quiet, it's still slow.
Given that (as I understand it) fast track is something that BA pay LHR for, I assume this would have been a BA decision to not provide fast track.
