So I've run into this a few times (sometimes I will just work from the MLL instead of going to the office when I have a late afternoon or early evening flight).

What you can do, is put your bag into the storage company (there are 2) in the YVR airport, do whatever you need to do, and then at the approved drop off time go and drop your bags off.
