Its a little like the original "airline" series that did much to teach the masses on the expectations of low cost travel. Rather than a negative documentary focusing on the "horrid" conditions of no free food and zero flexibility if you were 30 minutes late for your flight - the series "humanised" the trials and tribulations of the characters and the viewer sided with the staff in most situations.

Roll on ten years, and the biggest topic for heathrow is expansion and the toxic public perception in some quarters - for the same reasons as above a series like this adds to the positive PR of "heathrow" whilst entertaining and educating the average viewers on the day to day activities of a major airport.
