Coming from a EU country (ie Spain), and then going to a nonEU country (ie Canada) - one has to go through German customs and immigration - will the 50 minute connection time being sufficient, take account of that process?

Will the luggage/baggage that I check in at the Spanish airport, go right through to Canada, without having to have it checked by German customs? Does the luggage get checked in Spain, by Spanish customs?
